Supplier listing policy
Businesses may create or purchase eligible supplier profiles and enhanced listing features within the EquiGuild directory. Membership or listing level may affect presentation, visibility, available profile features and placement, but it does not change the requirement for supplier information to be accurate, current and relevant to the categories, products, services and trade capabilities selected.
Payment for membership, an enhanced profile, Product Showcase or another EquiGuild feature does not purchase verification and does not guarantee a particular search position, enquiry level, sale, commercial result or endorsement by EquiGuild.
EquiGuild verification framework
EquiGuild displays three separate verification stages so buyers can see what has actually been checked. Completed checks are shown as active badges. Incomplete stages remain visible in grey.
Registration Checked
This badge means EquiGuild has checked the business registration, identity or equivalent registration information against an appropriate public registry, trusted source or supporting evidence. For eligible UK companies this may include a Companies House check. It does not confirm financial standing, product quality or every claim made by the supplier.
Supplier Info Verified
This badge means EquiGuild has reviewed core information supplied about the business and found sufficient information to verify the supplier profile at the time of review. It does not mean every product, service, trade claim or statement on the profile has been independently verified.
Data Verified
This badge means EquiGuild has reviewed selected structured trade information against supporting evidence or trusted sources. This may include information such as OEM/ODM capability, manufacturing capability, wholesale status, minimum order quantities, export markets or other trade data. The badge applies to the data reviewed and should not be interpreted as verification of every possible statement made by the supplier.
Fully Verified
A supplier is shown as Fully Verified only when Registration Checked, Supplier Info Verified and Data Verified have all been completed and remain current.
What grey badges mean
A grey badge means that verification stage has not yet been completed, is awaiting review or is not currently active. A grey badge does not, by itself, mean the supplier has failed verification or that EquiGuild considers the supplier unreliable.
Supplier-declared information
Information that has not been specifically verified remains supplier-declared. Suppliers are responsible for ensuring the information they submit to EquiGuild is accurate, lawful, current and not misleading. EquiGuild may request clarification, supporting evidence or corrections where appropriate.
Evidence and supporting documents
Suppliers may submit supporting evidence privately through My Account → Verification. Evidence is used for verification and review purposes and is not displayed publicly merely because it has been submitted.
Suppliers should only upload documents they are authorised to provide to EquiGuild and should avoid including unnecessary personal or sensitive information. Evidence may be retained where reasonably necessary for verification, audit, dispute, fraud-prevention, security or legal purposes and is handled in accordance with EquiGuild’s Privacy Policy.
Evidence review status
Submitted evidence may be shown in the supplier dashboard as Submitted, Under Review, Verified or More Information Required. A Verified evidence item means that particular submission has been accepted for the relevant review purpose; it does not automatically mean every verification badge has been awarded.
Review dates, reconfirmation and expiry
Verification is not permanent. EquiGuild may apply review dates, expiry periods and periodic reconfirmation requirements. A verification badge may be suspended, removed or returned to review if information expires, changes, cannot be reconfirmed or appears inconsistent with new information.
Automated and manual checks
EquiGuild may use automated checks, public registries, trusted data sources and risk-based screening to support the verification process. Automated checks help reduce unnecessary manual review and identify cases requiring attention. A confidence score or automated check does not by itself mean that every aspect of a supplier has been verified.
International suppliers
Business registries, available data and verification methods vary between countries. EquiGuild may therefore use different sources or request alternative evidence depending on the supplier’s jurisdiction. The absence of an automated registry check does not prevent a supplier from completing other verification stages.
Removal or refusal of verification
EquiGuild may refuse, suspend or remove a verification badge where evidence is insufficient, information cannot be substantiated, information appears false or misleading, a registration is no longer active, the supplier fails to reconfirm information, or continued display of the badge would create a misleading impression.
Website trust badges and verification links
Active suppliers may be given EquiGuild website trust-badge code linked to a public verification record. These badges are served by EquiGuild so that their displayed status can change when membership, verification or an awarded designation changes. A supplier must not alter a badge, remove its status context, or use an unlocked badge to imply a verification or designation it has not earned.
Official badge embed code uses a nofollow link to the EquiGuild verification record. The badge is provided as a trust and verification feature and is not intended to create an automated search-ranking link scheme.
Buyer responsibility
Trade buyers should independently confirm the commercial and technical information relevant to their transaction, including prices, minimum order quantities, lead times, payment terms, delivery terms, product specifications, insurance, certifications, standards and any legal or regulatory requirements that apply to their purchase.
What verification does not mean
Verification is a point-in-time information check. It does not constitute a guarantee or endorsement of product quality, legal or regulatory compliance, creditworthiness, solvency, delivery performance, contractual performance, authenticity of every product, suitability for a particular transaction or the future behaviour of a supplier.
Corrections and review requests
Suppliers may use the Verification dashboard to provide updated information or additional evidence. EquiGuild may review a verification decision where relevant new information is supplied.
